史爱明副教授从事航空航天领域的气体动力学问题研究。空气动力学的学术贡献有，发现经典教科书中的激波强度规律错误，并建立激波强度关系式。激波强度公式及其物理规律正在应用于超声速效率流动设计，如：超音速飞行器。学术成果发表在航空航天领域权威期刊AIAA Journal和《航空学报》。此外，主持完成多项课题、获国防科技奖五项，授权发明专利六项、国际专利一项。

Dr. Aiming Shi is an associated professor of Northwestern Polytechnical University. Dr. Shi specializes in aerodynamics, gas dynamics and aeroelasticity. He discovers the minimum rule regarding the shock strength. The rule will be greatly useful to design a supersonic airplane with high aerodynamic efficiency. The rule is also extended to understand celestial shock phenomena, such as the terminal shock of our solar system. By now, the studies are published in AIAA Journal and The Astrophysical Journal.
